Translation Evaluation

This unique service is primarily helpful for big translation agencies and departments that work with a sufficient volume of translations. However, it will be useful for everyone who needs to choose a translator, evaluate a translator’s proficiency, or estimate translation quality.

It often happens that a company or translation agency needs additional translators, but they don’t have in-house specialists who could properly evaluate a translator’s professionalism; or they just don’t have people with a good command of necessary languages.

In this case my text evaluation services will come in handy.

I do English – Russian evaluation, English – Ukrainian evaluation, Russian – Ukrainian evaluation, and Ukrainian – Russian evaluation only. The source text shouldn’t exceed 300 words.

Procedure

- A customer sends me the source files and translations (up to 300 words in each one);
- I analyze the files;
- I enter data to the special evaluation form;
- I send the evaluation output as the filled-in form to a customer.

The form includes the number of errors per each category (mistranslation, punctuation, spelling, grammar, style, etc), translation evaluation on a five-grade scale, and general comments.

The price of one translation evaluation is 10 USD/8 EUR.
